All members declare their commitment to the objectives of the Community as set out in the mission statement. There are four categories of members:
- Full members are graduates of training programs with substantial content in behavior analysis as determined by the Board of Directors. Only full members can vote in elections for the Board of Directors or for changes in the organization charter.
- Affiliated members are individuals who are interested in learning about behavior analysis and supporting the organization who have not yet received the level of systematic training required for full membership.
- Student members are currently undertaking studies in educational programs related to behavior analysis.
- Honorary members are individuals of retirement age with substantial career contributions to our philosophy and science.
It is the policy of the Community that all members with demonstrable substandard family income in a giving year will be absolved from paying dues for the following year with no change in the membership status.
